Read Messages Without Blue Ticks in GB WhatsApp
A simple guide to hiding blue ticks and the second tick in GB WhatsApp, per contact or for everyone. This guide walks you through it step by step.
What the ticks mean
One grey tick means sent, two grey ticks mean delivered and two blue ticks mean read. In official WhatsApp, turning off read receipts also hides other people's blue ticks from you. GB WhatsApp separates the two.
How to hide blue ticks
- Open the mod settings from the three dot menu.
- Tap Privacy and Security.
- Choose Hide blue ticks and select contacts, groups or both.
- For extra privacy, also enable Hide second tick.
Replying without the tick
In many builds, replying to a message automatically sends the blue tick. Some versions include an option to keep it hidden until you reply; check the privacy menu for it.
Is it noticeable?
Contacts only see grey ticks. They cannot see that you have a setting enabled, though long periods with no blue ticks can raise questions.
A quick reminder
Menu names can differ slightly between builds. If you cannot find an option, look in the mod settings under Privacy, Chats or Universal.
